About Our School
Welcome from our Headteacher|
Welcome to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery. We are a one-class entry school with a strong, supportive Catholic ethos that runs throughout our school, including our Nursery. We work in partnership with the families of our children, as well as with our faith family, and we foster strong links within the church and wider community.
We have high expectations of everyone in our school. We provide a stimulating learning environment and are constantly striving to help every child reach their full potential in every area. We have separate buildings for Nursery, Reception/Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 but the same values and ethos run throughout and we work together to ensure a strong partnership.
Our school has extensive grounds and outdoor areas that are well utilised to extend and support the learning of children of all ages. We have a rich curriculum that ensures children develop key skills that will support life-long learning.
St Joseph’ Catholic Primary School is a Voluntary Aided school. The Religious Education teaching here is based on the belief and practice of the Catholic Church and takes place in a Christian atmosphere, although there is reference to other world faiths.
We hope that our website gives you a taste of life at our school and if you wish to visit the school we would be more than welcome to show you round.
